The UN resident and Humanitarian Co-ordinator in press release condemns the recent attacks of the LTTE in which the terrorists deliberately targeted innocent civilians. While calling all parties to the conflict to ensure protection of the civilians , the UN also expresses its serious concern over the protection of the civilians in the Vakarai area who are being forcibly held by the LTTE as a human shield.
