UN Chief appeals to Sri Lanka show restraint and refrain from violence

Feb 09, Colombo: On hearing the reports of the arrest of Sri Lanka's defeated opposition presidential candidate, General Sarath Fonseka by the Sri Lanka military, the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon Monday appealed to all the parties in Sri Lanka and their supporters to show restraint and refrain from violence.
