Sri Lanka: Police constable injured in Vavuniya grenade attack (TamilNet)
Yahoo February 4th, 2007A Sri Lanka Police constable sustained serious injuries when unknown armed men hurled hand grenades at the Police sentry point in Thonikkal area in Vavuniya at 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Police sources in Vavuniya said. The injured officer was first taken to Vavuniya Teaching Hospital and later transferred to Anuradhapura Hospital, hospital sources said.
