Dec 23, Colombo: Among the countries of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Sri Lanka has placed sixth in violating human rights, a report said. According to a SAARC Human Rights Report released last week, Sri Lanka placed sixth among the seven SAARC countries, with key concerns being the fragile Ceasefire Agreement of 2002 and the disappearance of ethnic Tamils whether journalists, political activists or innocent persons.
