Sri Lanka Government reissues presidential directives on protecting Fundamental Rights
ColomboPage April 24th, 2007Apr 24, Colombo: Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa re-circulated the directions on protecting Fundamental Rights of persons arrested and/or detained to the Armed Forces Commander and the IGP. The directives were initially issued by the President Mahinda Rajapaksa to the Heads of Armed Forces and the Police on 07 July 2006.
