Sri Lanka extends amnesty for deserters as nearly 4,000 rejoin
ColomboPage May 19th, 2008May 19, Colombo: The Sri Lankan army has extended an amnesty deadline for its deserters by two more weeks, as nearly 4,000 deserters had reported back during the first two weeks, the military said.
