Sri Lanka Captures Northern Town From Tamil Rebels (Update1) (Bloomberg.com)
Yahoo September 3rd, 2008Sept. 3 (Bloomberg) — Sri Lanka’s army captured Mallavi, a town in the north that served as an administrative center for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, as the rebels said 75 soldiers were killed in fighting in the region.
