Modi to address SL Parliament

Narendra Modi, Indian Prime Minister will address Sri Lankan parliament on 13th March. He is also expected to visit Sri Maha Bodhiya and Ruwanwelisaya on 14th March.


Modi will be the first Indian leader to address Sri Lankan parliament. Yingluck Sinavatra, former Thai Prime Minister was the last state leader to address Sri Lankan parliament.


Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make an official visit to Sri Lanka on 13th March. His visit is expected to be three days long. This is the first state visit by an Indian Premier since Rajiv Gandhi's visit in 1987.


Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena made his first foreign visit to India on Modi's invitation on last 15th.
