Heavy fighting grips Sri Lanka’s North, 90 combatants killed
ColomboPage April 23rd, 2008Apr 23, Jaffna: Fierce fighting at the frontlines in Jaffna peninsula this morning killed 52 Tamil Tiger rebels and 38 soldiers, Sri Lanka military said. Both sides claim the other side launched an offensive that lasted over 10 hours at the frontlines in Muhamalai in Jaffna.
