Fighting flares as troops close in on rebel town in Sri Lanka, 34 combatants killed
ColomboPage October 4th, 2008Oct 04, Colombo: Heavy fighting erupted in Northern Sri Lanka as Army troops supported by the Air Force advanced to the perimeter of the rebels’ administrative capital of Kilinochchi, killing 31 Tiger rebels and 3 soldiers, the military said.
