Feb 09, Colombo: The import duty on Basmati rice, potatoes produced in Pakistan, paints and other material used by artists, equipment for the cinema industry and the Ceylon Electricity Board, animal foetuses and sperm will be slashed soon with the incorporation of new regulations into the Customs Ordinance, Appropriation Act and Sri Lanka Export Development Act.
