Donors pledge 4.5 billion dollars to Sri Lanka but want peace (TODAYonline)
Yahoo January 30th, 2007Delegates from over 50 countries listen during the second day of a meeting of Sri Lanka’s aid donors in Galle. Sri Lanka said it had secured 4.5 billion dollars worth of overseas aid pledges, but foreign donors insisted that the conflict-torn nation risked losing the cash unless it achieves peace.
