May 08, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s electricity provider Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) announced that although the recent floods have increased the hydropower generation capacity by 30 million units, it cannot be content as the catchment areas of the major Mahaweli reservoirs had no adequate rainfall.
